Elections 5th May 2011
This May your eleven Parish Councillors will be elected, or re-elected, to serve for a period of four years. Several long-standing Councillors will not be seeking re-election this time so there will, therefore, be vacancies for new members.
The task of being a Parish Councillor is not onerous, consisting of six meetings a year, held in the evening on the second Wednesday of the month, bi-monthly, and also the Annual Village Meeting which is held in April. If you care about Easebourne, and would like to represent the views of parishioners on the various issues that occur, then speak to any Parish Councillor, or the Clerk, for an informal chat about being a Councillor.
In due course the Clerk will have nomination forms available, or these can be obtained from Chichester District Council. The Clerk can be contacted on 01730 813374 or easebournepc@tiscali.co.uk
Annual Village Spring Clean
As the days lengthen it becomes the time of year again to give our village its annual Spring Clean. This will be held on Monday 28th March 2011, at 6pm, meeting in the Cowdray Estate Office car park. We work for about 1 to 1 ½ hours and all equipment will be provided. You should be aware that you participate at your own risk. All are welcome.
PLEASE HELP US TO KEEP EASEBOURNE CLEAN AND TIDY.
Annual Village Meeting
This is advance notice, and a date for your diary, that the Village Meeting will be held on Wednesday 13th April 2011, at 7pm in the Refectory. After the report of the Parish Council’s activities for the past year there will be refreshments and a guest speaker. This year, as we will be making a special announcement about the Cowdray Ruins, our speaker will be the Operations Manager of the Ruins, Heather Ongley, who will give us an illustrated talk entitled “Cowdray, Past, Present and Future”.
All are welcome and we look forward to seeing you on the 13th April.
The next Parish Council meeting will be held on Wednesday 9th March 2011, at 7.30pm in the Refectory. All are welcome to attend.
