NEWSLETTER MAY /JUNE 2010

The Parish Council meeting (AGM), held on 12th May 2010, was attended by all eleven Parish Councillors, the Clerk and one member of the public.

Chairman and Vice-Chairman
Mr Ian Heustice was unanimously re-elected as Chairman and Mr John Stringer likewise as Vice-chairman, for the year 2010/2011.

Civil Parking Enforcement
From 12th April 2010 this task became the responsibility of Chichester District Council and not the Police. Enforcement officers will be regularly visiting Midhurst and penalty charge notices will be issued for illegal parking.

Football in the Community at Half Term
 This will be held at Midhurst Rother College on Tuesday 1st June.  The cost will be £5.00 per child per day.

Chichester Cycling Festival
 This is a new event to be held in Oaklands Park, Chichester on Sunday 6th June 2010 from 12 to 4pm.  Activities for all ages including free bike marking, a bike doctor clinic and a stationary cycling competition.

Village Spring Clean
Our Spring Clean evening was postponed from March to April because of heavy rain on the scheduled date.  12 volunteers collected many bags of rubbish from the village and we have been thanked by the District Council, as we are one of the few Parish Councils who now organise such an event.  To our volunteers – a big thank you.
 

The next Parish Council meeting will be on Wednesday 14th July 2010, at 7.30pm in the Refectory, Easebourne.  All are welcome.
