The next meeting will be held on 23rd June 2009 at 7pm at the Grange.  All are welcome to attend.

Possible Car Parking Charging for Midhurst
The Parish Council has expressed its opposition to the possible introduction of charging for car parking in Midhurst.  Charging in a small market town, with traders already struggling in the economic downturn, would be detrimental to the viability of the area. Many Easebourne residents need to use their cars in order to avail themselves of the essential facilities on offer in Midhurst.

Free Swimming at Westgate Centre, Chichester
This is a government scheme, funded for two years initially, to enable the over 60s and under 16s to swim, at no cost.  However, to join the scheme you have to register for a pass and will be unable to just turn up and swim without the pass. An application form for a pass can be obtained from the Westgate Centre on 01243 785651 or downloaded from www.chichester.gov.uk

Chichester Careline
Careline has been awarded a preventative technology grant and hospitals, including Midhurst Community Hospital, are starting pilot schemes to allow earlier discharge from hospital, with a Careline package.  A Careline bed sensor, wandering client sensor and fall detector can be provided.  Also a mobile warden is on duty 24 hours a day if the client calls in unwell.  Already 600 people have left hospital early, with a Careline package.

The next Parish Council meeting will be held on Wednesday 8th July 2009 at 7.30pm in the Refectory.  All are welcome
