Bus Services from Midhurst
The Parish Council is very concerned at the proposal to discontinue evening and Sunday bus services from Midhurst. This will adversely affect young people who need to travel, to Chichester in particular, for entertainment, education or work, and also residents who do not drive. We are voicing our concerns to West Sussex County Council.
King Edward VII Hospital
On 11th July 2011 the South Downs National Park Authority planning committee rejected the proposals, submitted by City and Country, to re-develop the former hospital site. Although Chichester District Council had approved the plans the Parish Council, and many other bodies, had objected to the building of a “mini-village” in an isolated area of natural beauty, within the new South Downs National Park. The applicant is proposing to appeal against the decision.
Football in the Community
During the school summer holiday, on 18th and 19th August, there will be football sessions at the Midhurst Rother College, Easebourne site. The cost will be £5 per child per session
