Concerned about speed through our village ?

Volunteers required to help with SID (Speed Indicator Device).

Easebourne SID
The aims and objectives of the use of SID are to:

Reduce death and injury on the roads

Improve the quality of life for local communities

Reduce the speed of vehicles to the speed limit

Increase public awareness of inappropriate speed

The scheme is authorised and managed by the police, but the use of the SID device will be undertaken by volunteers who will be trained in its use by the police.  They will then work in pairs, for a short length of time, on an occasional basis.  We are, therefore, seeking volunteers, from amongst Easebourne parishioners who are over 18 years old, to help deter speeding motorists in our village.  If you are interested in becoming a volunteer please contact the Clerk on 01730 813374 or easebournepc@tiscali.co.uk for further information.
